AMSAG Bushfire Appeal

The Bushfires that have ravaged the North Coast of NSW have had a devastating effect on areas which are frequented by rallies, especially events which have formed part of an AMSAG Series either in the past or in the coming year.

These areas include Taree, Johns River, Wauchope, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Armidale and the surrounding areas.

As a show of support to these communities who open their towns for us to come and compete in events in their districts, AMSAG have decided to donate a portion of the profits made from our Rosewood, Orange, Bulahdelah and Johns River events this year to some worthy causes.

The four recipients we have chosen to receive a $500 donation each are as follows:-

Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery

Blaze Aid

Koalas In Care

Johns River RFS Brigade

Some information regarding the work these organisations do can be found below. There will also be links where we encourage anyone wishing to make their own donation to please do so, and help give back to those in need.

Australian Red Cross

Johns River Rural Fire Service

The Johns River Rural Fire Service cover the area surrounding Johns River.

This area was decimated in the recent fires, including sadly the loss of one of their local's lives.

In lieu of a cash donation, the Captain of the brigade has requested assistance with the purchase of a portable fridge to be installed in the truck to help keep refreshments cool for their volunteer fire fighters.

We are currently working with the Captain to source a suitable item for them.
