AMSAG moving to AASA Licences only from January 2026

IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT

Following ongoing discussions with AASA, a decision has been made to move towards only accepting AASA licences for all gravel rally events conducted under a AASA Permit, this will include both Southern Cross Rally Series events and standalone Rallies and Rallysprint events conducted with AMSAG.

In order to provide time for competitors to transition across to the AASA Rally Licence, this change will come into effect for AMSAG from 1st January 2026.

As an added incentive, AASA will offer all AMSAG Competitors currently holding a Motorsport Australia Licence (roughly 60% of our competitors in 2024), a discount of 50% for their first year. In order to receive your discount code, please email us at licences@amsag.com.au with your Name, AMSAG Membership Number, MA Licence Number and Expiry Date. We will then obtain a discount code from AASA which you can use to purchase the licence from their website. 

With the AASA Gravel Rally Licence only costing $198, this discount makes the total cost only $99 for the first year.

For the past 14 years AMSAG has appreciated the support of AASA for our events. It is now time to return that support by moving to running with a AASA license only.
