ANNOUNCEMENT: Life Membership awarded to David "Fast Eddie" Aitchison

In recognition of his contributions to AMSAG over the past 2 decades, David "Fast Eddie" Aitchison was awarded AMSAG Life Membership at the 2025 AGM.

For anyone who has been involved with the club, especially over the last 10–15 years, you will know just how hard Eddie works for AMSAG. He is generally the first to arrive at each event, usually 2 days before in the trusty AMSAG Scoring Van with the equipment trailer in tow, ready to get the event set up. He is then the last person to leave the service park/HQ once the event is completed and all the gear is packed back up, where he then heads back to work doing his exemplary job of roll cage and exhaust construction.

In between events (and his day job), he plans what is needed for each event, makes sure all the gear is ready to go, as well as providing sage advice to all the Executive Committee.

We couldn't be happier to award such a prestigious honour to someone who lives and breathes AMSAG and is the embodiment of all that AMSAG stands for.
