Taree Rally Cancelled

Regretfully we wish to advise that the 2022 AMSAG Taree Rally has been cancelled.

Due to the recent wet weather in the region, a large number of roads we had planned to use have been either damaged or become impassable due to landslides.

The roads that have been left will be subject to road works being conducted by both Forestry Corporation and National Parks and Wildlife Services over the coming weeks, which has led to Forestry advising they would not be suitable for use for our event due to the potential for road damages should there be any further rain between now and the event. The long range forecast does not look positive in this aspect.

Regrettably, we had no further option than to cancel the event with no alternative dates available in the remaining part of the year.

In good news, the proposed road works being completed by Forestry and NPWS will mean that our 2023 event will have access to top quality roads and hopefully provide us with more road options than we had originally planned for this year. 

This now means our next event in the Southern Cross Rally Series will be the Rosewood Rally on 3rd September.
