2021 AMSAG Calendar announcement

AMSAG are pleased to announce our calendar for the 2021 season.

We will begin the year with our Test Day to be run in forests surrounding Black Springs on 27th February.

Following the Test Day will be the first of our Rallysprint Series events, the Love Motorsport Rallysprint which will again be based around the Wauchope area on 13th March.

Closely following the first rallysprint round will be our first rally of the year, the Bulahdelah Rally which will run on 27th March and will use the forest areas surrounding Bulahdelah as per previous years.

The next event will then be the Tumut Rallysprint which will be conducted by Wagga and District Car Club on 17th April. The roads used in this event were very well receved by competitors in the event held by the club earlier this year and should prove a popular addition to the Rallysprint Series.

From Tumut we will then move to the Orange Rally for our second rally of the year on 8th May. The challenging yet rewarding roads surrounding Orange will yet again provide competitors with an enjoyable event.

Attention will then move to the Armidale Rallysprint on 29th May, this event conducted by New England Sporting Car Club has been well received over recent years and is sure to be another Rallysprint Series event not to be missed. Some changes to the event from previous years formats will be sure to add more bang for buck for competitors.

After a short mid year break we will then move on to the North Coast Rally for Round 4 of the Rally Series on 24th July, the event to be directed yet again by Nathan Quinn was very popular in 2020. Some changes to the 2021 route will be sure to offer another challenge to competitors.

We then head South for Round 4 of the Rallysprint Series for the Coopernook Rallysprint. After narrowly missing out in 2020 due to COVID Restrictions, the organising team of Chris and Mike Cherry are looking forward to hosting a great event in 2021.

Round 4 of the Rally Series will be the Rosewood Rally, again run by the Wagga and Districts Car Club. Event Director Wade Ryan has been scouting out some new stages meaning more challenges for competitors. This is an event not to be missed.

We will then round out our season with a double header of motorsport action with the Oberon Rally and Black Springs Rallysprint running as the final round of both the Rally & Rallysprint Series. The Oberon Rally will run on Saturday 30th October with the Rallysprint to be run on the Sunday 31st October.

We are looking forward to bringing some great value motorsport to competitors in 2021 and we also look forward to welcoming back spectators to our events pending the continual improvements with Government restrictions surrounding events.

We will also make an announcement in the coming weeks regarding our AGM and  Series Presentation Night.
